Hi,
I assume you deleted all the old files (formated the partitions)... but that
may not be of importance. I just mention because it's not possible to upgrade
directly from 1.0->2.0:

But since your system seems to boot a 2.0 system allright I assume the above
has nothing to do with this.

I have not seen this one before.
Have you configured proxy for apt?
Can you perhaps try another mirror?
