                   tinysofa classic server  1.0-U3

Featuring security updates, bug fixes, and application enhancements, 
tinysofa classic server 1.0-U3 (Update 3) is now generally available.

This release renames the 1.x branch of tinysofa enterprise server to
"tinysofa classic server" in anticipation of the tinysofa enterprise
server 2.0 release.

Additionally, 1.0-U3 integrates all security fixes released since 
1.0-U2.

What's New?
===========

Updates since tinysofa enterprise server 1.0-U2:

* apache 2.0.50.
* kernel 2.4.27-rc3 (snapshot 1.469.)
* mod_php4 4.3.8.

Bugs fixed since tinysofa enterprise server 1.0-U2:

* Apache has been updated to the latest upstream version and fixes
  several issues with rare random crashes. 
* freeswan contains a fix for CAN-2004-0590.
* initscripts contains a fix for LVM on RAID.
* kernel contains a fix for CAN-2004-0497.
* libpng contains a fix for CAN-2002-1363.
* mod_php4 has been updated to 4.3.8 to address security issues.
* rp-pppoe has been rebuilt to address a problem with the generated
  start / stop scripts during the build process.

Upgrading from tinysofa enterprise server 1.0
=============================================

SWUP
----

The SWUP tool can be used to upgrade a tinysofa enterprise server 1.0
system to 1.0-U3. This can be achieved by executing the command:

                            swup --upgrade

anaconda
--------

The anaconda installer can be used to upgrade all packages on 1.0 whilst
leaving all configuration intact. To upgrade your system using anaconda,
insert the tinysofa classic server 1.0-U3 CD into your CDROM drive, enter
the anaconda installation program, and select "Upgrade Existing System" on
the "Installation Type" screen, and follow the prompts.
