Although this could add some confusion to the first-user, it can give skilled users a chance to install "just what I need, and nothing else". I happen to install servers, each with different services (I don't agree w/ "install & disable", expecially when you can apt over a broadband connection), and maximum control of what is it installed on the first place could be a really valuable plus. As stated above, I cannot use kickstart :-) Ivan From mail-lists at s235.de Tue Nov 2 11:36:26 2004 From: mail-lists at s235.de (Dominik Schips) Date: Tue, 2 Nov 2004 12:36:26 +0100 Subject: [tinysofa-devel] TES 2.0 wishlist In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <1527615833.20041102123626@s235.de> Hello, > Just a request: > - Select individual packages. > Although this could add some confusion to the first-user, it can give > skilled users a chance to install "just what I need, and nothing else". I agree with this. It would be very useful for advanced users to set up a new server by selecting the needed packages individual and not all of the predefinded entries. At the classic server installation there is the option to select individual packages and I missed this option at my last TES 2.0 installation. I don't know if it is much work to change the installer or if it is generally possible to change the installer so easy. But it would be very useful. > I happen to install servers, each with different services (I don't agree > w/ "install & disable", expecially when you can apt over a broadband > connection), and maximum control of what is it installed on the first > place could be a really valuable plus. Apt-get is a so powerful tool. Thanks for the integration in TES 2.0. It is easier to install the missed packages with apt-get after a minimal installation. Maximum control on the installation should be possible in TES. Just my 2 Cents ;) ---- Best regards, Dominik Schips From mail-lists at s235.de Wed Nov 3 10:32:27 2004 From: mail-lists at s235.de (Dominik Schips) Date: Wed, 3 Nov 2004 11:32:27 +0100 Subject: [tinysofa-devel] Problem with WebSVN on tinysofa? Message-ID: <1471827616.20041103113227@s235.de> Hello , I'm a absolut beginner with SVN and I wanted to have a closer look at tinysofa build system. I tried to access WebSVN at http://svn.tinysofa.org/svn/ to get the actual kernel spec file. But I got an "404 Not Found" error. Is there a problem with WebSVN on the tinysofa homepage? I can access the repository at https://svn.tinysofa.org/repos/tinysofa directly. I thought it was secured for normal users by a password some time ago. So is the description/page on http://www.tinysofa.org/documentation/index.cgi?RepositorySystem old or what is going on with SVN on tinysofa? #---- Best regards, Dominik Schips From ivan.brunello at aonetinternational.it Wed Nov 3 12:25:46 2004 From: ivan.brunello at aonetinternational.it (Brunello Ivan) Date: Wed, 3 Nov 2004 13:25:46 +0100 Subject: [tinysofa-devel] Where is kernel-sourcecode?
