John, I wrote the original HowTo's on using Postfix, and spamAssassin on the Website: http://www.tinysofa.org/documentation/index.cgi?PostfixAndCyrusImap http://www.tinysofa.org/documentation/index.cgi?VirusAndSpamFiltering This worked fairly well in rejecting Spam, but I was not very flexible with custom configuration. And user or domain level configuration was nearly out of the picture. Ive now switched to outsourcing all email for my dozen domains, as the the management is much easier. Especially adding individual whitelist or blacklist entries, and handling SPAM/HAM Baysian training by individual users or domain owners. I'm reselling services starting at $20/domain for IMAP/SSL and SMTP/SSL with Sophos Antivirus/SpamAssassin and detailed MX pre-filtering. Contact me off-list for details. For what it's worth, I switched to Exim on a SuSE distribution a few years ago, then continued with Exim when I moved to Tinysofa. I came via Sendmail then Postfix. Exim was by far the easiest system to configure. But as another user has replied, I then moved to an email system managed by my ISP. It's more robust and much less hassle for me. I can leave them to worry about spam and virus filtering - they have far more users barking at them and providing feedback than I do. :-) Rob From jc at thp.org Sat Dec 24 18:18:44 2005 From: jc at thp.org (John Coonrod) Date: Sat, 24 Dec 2005 13:18:44 -0500 Subject: [tinysofa-discuss] Using Tinysofa as a server in a windows domain Message-ID: <43AD9104.502@thp.org> Is the best way to use tinysofa as a fileserver or a mailserver in a windows domain to point the login to the ldap server on the domain controller?
