Ok, I did several testing with different NICs on the server because of the drivers. With some of them I got some dropped packages and some errors. But I'm not sure if the NICs are really damaged or have any other problems. I would do more testing, but I'm not at home for the next 2 weeks. When I'm back I go on with testing and hope to find the problem. I want to do more tests with the different kernels. An 'apt-get -f install' might fix it, but maybe you need to remove php5 temporarily to let php4 finish installing happily before reinstalling the php5 package. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but I don't have a broken tinysofa in front of me. I know it's too late to help you this time, but 'apt-get -s dist-upgrade' will show you what's going to happen, without actually doing it. (Doing that might not have identified the problem between php4 and php5 though.) Maybe you can post what works to the Wiki as you figure it out. My setup uses a method which avoids editing the alias file each time a new list is added. I dedicate a subdomain "lists" to mailman ( e.g. mylist at lists.domain.com ), then forward all traffic in that subdomain directly to mailman. The script is at: ftp://ftp.4aero.com/pub/mailman/postfix-to-mailman.py ( originally written by Bruce Perens for Qmail+Mailman ) Instructions are in the script, and it works great for me with about 4 lists running. PS: The thread should really be Postfix+Mailman as Mailman has no dependencies on the type of IMAP server. So I released it as an update. I just released a new update (2.1.6-2ts) that should be mirrored out soon. Get it with: apt-get update && apt-get install mailman To answer the original question, you should start off your mailman adventures by reading: /usr/share/doc/mailman-2.1.6/INSTALL.TINYSOFA Then, to integrate Postfix and Mailman: http://www.gurulabs.com/goodies/downloads.php Under "Postfix and Mailman Integration." Is there a way to > just reinstall the bootloader from the installation CD, or do I need to > re-install everything? This is a little on the tricky side, but you won't need to reinstall. I'm presuming you want to use GRUB as your primary boot loader (and assuming you had a chainloader entry for your Windows partition in grub.conf previously -- though we can add that later.) If this isn't the case, don't follow any more instructions. ;) Also, If you'll blame me for destroying your valuable data, don't follow any more instructions. :) Boot from your tinysofa cd, and type 'linux rescue'. Continue until it says your system as mounted on /mnt/sysimage. Go into the shell, and type: --- chroot /mnt/sysimage cd /root dd if=/dev/hda of=./save.mbr bs=512 count=1 grub-install '(hd0)' exit exit --- Reboot.
